I think not showing the whole canue works great here. It's a very simple and pleasing picture.

Very intriguing scene - the water is so still and serene. Nice colour and light. With the lines drawing the eye to the right bottom corner, the half moon shape on the rock incomplete - it does beg the question to show more of the rock and canoe - just my feelings though.

I'm curious about the space around the rock. I'm not fully convinced of the authenticity of the place just by this photo. I feel like I need to ge there and see what else there is. Like you've captured something but there is more around that we're not getting to see. Is there more, or isn't there? Is it really grubby everywhere else and this is the only part worth taking? I'm trying to provoke you to take more of the same spot. (That is what I do because it bugs me when I only get to see one view of something - unless I consider it absolutely perfect, which I haven't managed!), but I haven't got any of my own photos up yet since I signied up five minutes ago but the reason I signed up is to be able to communicate with the other people.)
